Condition: creased, an old restauration and lightly soiled, otherwise good

Hankô was born in Mitsuke. He went to Edo to study under Watanabe Kazan (1793-1841). With Tsubaki Chinzan (1801-54) they became his best pupils. Chinzan was specialized in kachôga, flower and bird pictures, and Hankô in painting landscapes.
