Akimoto lake in the Bandai-Asahi National Park was created in 1888, after Mount Bandai-erupted, and part of the mountainside caved in as a result of the accompanying phreatic explosions.

Seiki was born in Tochigi prefecture. He studied with Maeda Seison (1885-1977). He showed and won prizes at the Inten and the Shunten exhibitions
