Condition: old lacquer repair in the rim, otherwise very good

Õbun was in a direct line a descendent of Maruyama Õkyo (1733-1795) and therefore he is considered to be the fifth head of the Maruyama school. He studied under Maruyama Õritsu (1818-1875) and he carried on the Maruyama tradition into the Meiji period.
