1) 見失ふ鵜の出処や鼻の先。蕪村句

2) 六月や峰に雲置くあらし山。ばせを句

3) 松茸やしらぬ木の葉のへばりつく。芭蕉句

4) 獨り来一人を訪ふや冬の月。夜半翁句

Kahô was born in Kyoto, son of the painter Nakajima Kayô (died1877), who studied with Yokoyama Kazan (1784-1837). Kahô studied painting under Mori Kansai (1814-92) and calligraphy with his brother-in-law Tomioka Tessai (1836-1924), who was married to his sister Tatsu. Kahô studied haiga works by Kikaku, Buson and Gekkei, and made his own interpretations.
He participated in numerous exhibitions, including the World Exhibition in Chicago in 1893.

Takahashi Dôhachi VI was born in Kyoto as the second son of Dôhachi IV (1845-1897). He studied with his father as well and his brother Dôhachi V (1869-1914) but also studied at the Kyoto Municipal Ceramics Laboratory. He inherited the title after his brother died in 1915 and he became Dôhachi VI in 1915. Dôhachi VI was known for his blue white porcelain and sencha ware.
